Railway Recruitment Board RRB 12042 Technicians Recruitment

Railway Recruitment Board RRB issued a notification for filling 12042 Technician vacancies.

Applications are invited in prescribed format onA-4 size bond paper of 80 GSM using one side only from eligible Indian Nationals for the following posts of TECHNICIANS. Applications complete in all respects along with required enclosures should be sent by Ordinary Post to the Railway Recruitment Boards concerned as mentioned in para 15 of this notification, so as to reach on or before 16.07.2012 up to 17.30 Hrs. Applications can also be dropped in the box kept at the premises of RRB offices concerned, till the closing date and time. For candidates residing inAssam, Meghalaya, Manipur, Arunachal Pradesh, Mizoram, Nagaland, Tripura, Sikkim, Jammu & Kashmir, Lahaul & Spiti districts and Pangi sub-division of Chamba district of Himachal Pradesh, Andaman, Nicobar and Lakshadweep islands and for candidates residing abroad, the closing date for receipt of applications by Ordinary Post will be 31.07.2012 up to 17.30 Hrs.

Candidates Please Note :
1) Written Examination will be held on the same day by all participating RRBs.
2) In addition to English, Hindi and Urdu, choice of Local Languages for each RRB is indicated at Para 15.   Candidates must indicate their choice of Language while applying.
3)No examination fee for SC/ST/Ex-Servicemen/Women/Minorities/Persons with Disability/Economically backward candidates having annual family income less than R50,000/-.

Qualifications: Candidates should completed his/ her education qualification of Technicians post is BSc in Physics/ 12th Class (Physics/ Mathematics)/ Diploma in Engineering in Electrical/ Electronics/ Microprocessor/ TV Engineering/ Fibre Optical Communication/ Telecommunication/ Communication/ Sound & TV Engineering/ Industrial Control/ Electronic Instrumentation/ Industrial Electronics/ Applied Electronics/ Digital Electronics/ Power Electronics/ Information Science/ Information Technology/ Computer Application/ Computer Engineering/ Computer Science/ Computer Technology/ Apprenticeship with ITI in Electrician/ Fitter/ Wireman/ Electronics/ Information Technology/ TV and Radio.

(1) Scale of Pay with GP: For Technician Gr.II/Signal - Rs5,200 - 20 200 (GP Rs2400), for all other Technician Gr.III Categories - Rs5200 - 20200 (GP Rs1900).     
(2) Age (as on 01.07.2012) : 18 - 30 years
(3) Exam Fee (for Male Candidates UR/OBC only) : For Technician Gr.II/Signal -Rs60/-, for all other Technician Gr.III Categories - Rs40/- 
(4) Stages of Exam: Single Stage Written Examination followed by Verification of Original Documents.
(5) Diploma/Degree in Engineering will not be accepted in lieu of course completed Act Apprenticeship/ITI except for Category No.2 & 3.
